At the Frank P. Phillips YMCA, we strive to provide healthy  opportunities for our members.  We believe a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is of paramount importance for total health, and that spiritual growth and Christian development is essential to a healthy body and mind.

The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA Christian Emphasis program focuses on the “C” in the YMCA. Building a healthy spirit is the first priority in our mission and we believe that spirit is the cornerstone to a healthy mind and body.

There are many opportunities at the Y to strengthen your spirit.  If you're looking for an engaging and thought-provoking Bible Study to further your faith, please join YMCA members and guests at a location near you. Area women gather for weekly prayer time on Tuesday mornings at our Downtown Y.  Journey to Freedom classes are offered several times during the year and focus on overcoming life-controlling issues and achieving needed change in our lives.  Parkinson's Aquatic Exercise Class and Support Group is offered year-round for individuals who suffer from Parkinson's Disease.
