YMCA: Celebration of Hope / story from Chitwood Media on Vimeo.

Scott Reall, a previous employee of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, wrote this series of small group manuals based on his own life experiences.  These courses were developed to help people overcome specific issues. Journey to Freedom now operates as Restore Ministries. The Frank P. Phillips YMCA is pleased to partner with Restore Ministries in Nashville, TN and offer Journey to Freedom on an on-going basis, and the other four courses intermittently.  Please call the Downtown YMCA Welcome Desk for current schedules and offerings, 662-328-7696. Journey to Freedom: Your Start to a Lifetime of Hope, Health and Happiness
Journey to Freedom is a Christ centered, 12 step approach to making lasting life change. Available through YMCA Outreach Ministries Department, small group sessions lead by trained facilitators, are designed to break the life-controlling issues we all face. Be it fear, loneliness, shame, addiction, grief or the many other emotional or physical strong-holds, Journey to Freedom has helped guide thousands of men, women and families to complete hope, healing and restoration.

Journey to Living with Courage: Freedom from Fear
In our journeys to freedom, we must face our fears.  We need to expose them and explore them so that we can move forward and learn to live in faith.  In Journey to Living with Courage: Freedom from Fear, you will learn how to move from a fear-based life to a faith-based life--a life grounded in the courage and freedom that only God can offer.  You will learn how to take an honest look at your fears, to acknowledge them, and walk forward with courage.

Journey to Healthy Living: Freedom from Body Image and Food Issues
For most of us, it's impossible to look in the mirror and feel as if we can ever measure uip to the images of perfection that surround us.  In Journey to Healthy Living, we'll explore what it means to discover that your body is not something to be loathed, but that it is a wonderful gift from God. Weekly sessions include group discussion and guided workouts

Journey to A New Beginning After Loss:  Freedom from the Pain of Grief and Disappointment
Find hope and light in the face of the deepest grief. Based on the Journey to Freedom Manual, this study guide is about learning to face life after loss, whether that grief is the result of death, divorce, or other types of separation. Like the other study guides in the Journey to Freedom series, this study will focus specifically on living anew after a loss, while helping people change the things in their life that keep them from fulfilling their purpose and living their life to its fullest potential.
