Rock Steady Boxing. Fighting back against Parkinson's. This class is only for those with Parkinson's Disease. Participants use traditional boxing training to condition for optimal agility, speed, muscular endurance, and balance to defend against and overcome opponents. At Rock Steady Boxing, the opponent is Parkinson's Disease. Two classes are offered: Rock Steady (for those with Stage 3 and 4 Parkinson's) and Rock Steady Advanced (for those with minimal symptoms). Adaptive H20
This class is geared for individuals with limited mobility and meets twice weekly. A consultation with our Adaptive Fitness director is required before attending class. Stroke recovery, recent surgery, Parkinson's Disease, etc. are examples of mobility limitations. All exercises are done standing in chest-deep warm water; no swimming is required. Main areas of focus are: large motor skills, balance, light cardio, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and voice/diction. Find out more about Parkinson's Disease |
