OUR TRAINERS
Kevin is a Personal Trainer with specialties and certifications in several areas. His Personal Training certification is through Penn Foster Career School, American Fitness Professionals and Associates and National Council on Strength and Fitness. He has Self Defense certifications in PEO and Controlled Force Training including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mauy Thai Kickboxing. He has extensive experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of basketball, along with fitness training specifically tailored to the sport. For 8 years, Kevin has helped clients with general fitness, training for sports (football, basketball, mixed martial arts) and job specific functions (military, law enforcement). With 3 years experience active duty with US Army, and 7 years experience with Columbus Police Department, he currently serves as Pre-Academy Physical Training Instructor and Physical Fitness Pre-Employment Testing Official for Columbus Police Department. He is married and has one daughter.

Cindy Brock
Cindy is a certified personal trainer devoted to helping individuals become comfortable in the gym. Her focus is on teaching proper form, posture, and balance through an integrated training approach, at the Caledonia YMCA.
Cindy served in the USAF as ATC and holds an associate degree in accounting. She obtained her Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in June of 2022.
Cindy’s desire is to educate Caledonia YMCA members, helping them to obtain positive behavior change, and establish sustainable lifelong healthy habits.

Nikki Latham
NIKKI has worked continuously in the fitness industry with the YMCA of Columbus, MS. For over 25 years. Her “FIT FOR LIFE” philosophy is to guide her clients into developing their own consistent fitness practices including strength, balance, coordination and flexibility that are easy to maintain for a lifetime of physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
Nikki's certifications include AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Senior Fitness Practices and Procedures. Also ISSA Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor, CPR and Pediatric CPR.

Ashley Heyman
Ashley Heyman is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer with a Corrective Exercise Specialization. She earned her certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She also holds certifications in Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s disease, Les Mills BodyPump, Schwinn Power Cycling, and Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED. Her wide range of experience and expertise make her well suited to work with adults of all ages and fitness levels. Areas of focus include individualized program design focusing on healthy movement, proper form, self-care, and recovery. She is available mornings and afternoons Monday through Friday at the Downtown YMCA and the Caledonia YMCA.
Ashley is a military spouse and has been married for 18 years. She and her husband have three children and have been stationed across the southern United States from Arizona to South Carolina with one quick stop in the Washington D.C. area. Outside of fitness, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and Management. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, reading, good food, and volunteering in her local church & community.

Stephanie Gonzalez holds a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in nutrition. She is certified through FiTOUR® as an Advanced Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor. Stephanie enjoys working with clients of all fitness levels and is an energetic motivator. Her specialties include designing programs for weight loss, body toning, athletes power & strength increase, and flexibility increase. She is CPR/AED and Lifeguard Certified. She is available mornings, afternoons, and evenings Monday—Saturday.
