SILVER SNEAKERS®
Silver Sneakers Muscle Strength and Range of Movement focuses on a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers® ball are all used for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Silver Sneakers is a program offered by Humana in affiliation with the Frank P. Phillips YMCA.

SENIOR WATER AEROBICS
These classes are held in the shallow end of the Downtown Y pool and are perfect for the new exerciser or those with limitations because of the low-intense, low-impact nature. The weight of the water provides muscle strengthening and cardiovascular qualities, while the buoyancy offers mobility due to light weightedness.
PEDAL POWER!

A new exercise class specifically developed for individuals with limited mobility.  This class involves deep breathing exercises, range of motion, and the use of stationary floor pedals all from a comfortable Seated position.  Ideal movement for people with Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, cardio rehab and other limitations.   Come join a friendly group with trained and caring and friendly staff and let the power of pedaling work for you!

TAI CHI
Tai Chi is the perfect exercise program for those with limited mobility, or anyone who wants to benefit from this gentle, low impact form of exercise.  Tai Chi can ease many ills of aging and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life!

· Everyone welcome
· No experience necessary
· Free with YMCA membership

PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.  A smaller court makes it low impact, easier on the joints, and ideal for all ages.  Pickleball is the fastest growing new sport in the U.S.  Paddles and balls are provided.

Free with YMCA membership.
Come join us and we will show you how to play.
