ONE MEMBERSHIP - FOUR LOCATIONS
Membership provides use of all four Lowndes County YMCA facilities and programs. Members enjoy free towel service, locker rooms and showers and most programs, including water aerobics, SPINNING®, Pilates, ZUMBA®, land exercise classes, volleyball and basketball play are offered to members at no additional costs. Our Y offers much more than fitness opportunities. Take advantage of our Art classes, Drama productions and Outreach Ministry programs.
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
Family Married couples and dependent/unmarried children 22 years of age and under will be included in the family membership if his/her permanent home address is the same. Single Parent Family One unmarried adult and your unmarried children 22 years old and under, living in the same household. Adult Individual membership for persons 19 - 59 years of age. Youth* 10 - 18 years old not on a family plan *When you qualify for the next age category we will automatically adjust your draft. Senior Individual membership for persons 60 years of age and above. |
JOINING FEE: The joining fee is a one-time payment unless membership is cancelled for more than 30 days.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP: Annual membership is paid in full. If annual renewal payment has not been received by the second notice, your membership will be cancelled. Annual membership refunds will be prorated. Joining fees will not be refunded.
BANK DRAFT/CREDIT CARD DRAFT OPTION: A continuous membership that does not expire. Payment is automatically deducted from your checking account/credit card each month. The membership fee may change with 30-day written notice. If the bank draft/credit card is returned for any reason you will be required to pay a $10 service charge, you will have a 10 day period to come in and pay; otherwise your account will be drafted the membership fee plus a $10 service charge for each draft returned. Initial payment: Joining fee plus first month's prorated fee.
MEMBERSHIP NOTICE: All members are required to have their picture taken. This enables all our members to participate in programs and/or use facilities. Additionally, this is a security measure for all family members. Parents, please accompany your children. We need proper identification for everyone (Drivers License/School ID). You may have your picture taken at any branch. We have had misuse with pictures among some young adults. Those people who continue to misrepresent members/non-members will no longer be able to use the facilities.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY: The YMCA seeks to make its services available to all persons regardless of inability to pay. These services are available to those living in Lowndes County and the city of Columbus. This assistance is made possible thanks to United Way and sustaining contributors.
