As one of the leading Social Service organizations in Mississippi, we stand in solidarity against all manners of racism, social inequality, and violence.  We are a Cause Driven Organization focused on strengthening the foundations of community by supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  We are working together to strengthen communities by taking a collective pledge:
 
  • We will heed the Y’s core Christian values to be caring, honest, respectful, responsible, and faithful to all during this time of crisis.
  • We will not allow the hurt of our community to go unnoticed.
  • We will continue to work to eliminate racism, promote equity and justice in our communities.
  • We will continue to value diversity and inclusion and endeavor to have children, families, and seniors at the center of our actions.
 
The Y is an organization FOR ALL.  FOR ALL is a simple yet powerful phrase.  Without it, the mission of the Y is incomplete.  Working side-by-side with our neighbors, the Y makes sure that everyone, regardless of our differences, has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.  By strengthening the foundations of community FOR ALL, we are able to build a BETTER US.  Join us in our efforts to be a “BETTER US” across Mississippi.
